1. Unfinished- This means that the doors will be sanded and ready to accept a finish straight out of the box. Select this option to receive an unfinished cabinet door or drawer front.

2. Clear Finish (Conversion Varnish)- This means that the cabinet doors will be sprayed with a clear coat of conversion varnish. Conversion varnish is much more durable than a lacquer based finish and provides a good degree of water resistance. Please be aware that by selecting this options it will add 2 days to the production time of your cabinet door order. Select this option to have your cabinet doors professionally sprayed with a durable furniture grade cabinet finish.

***CLEAR CONVERSION VARNISH CANNOT BE APPLIED TO PAINT GRADE CABINET DOORS. Please do not select this option if you are purchasing paint grade cabinet doors.

3. Pure White (SW7005 Sherwin Williams) This is our standard white color. The sheen is a standard satin finish. The price shown will include priming sanding and additional packaging required to ship painted cabinet doors. Please visit Sherwin Williams website for samples.

THE PROCESS

All cabinet doors are sprayed in an enclosed environment.Utilizing industrial spray booths, BARKERdoor.com is able to apply a variety of different stains and paints to meet your needs.

Keep in mind that having your cabinet doors professionally finished will save you time and additional money related to cabinet door finishing. As a standard, we use a conversion varnish stain and pigmented conversion varnish paint product.

In my personal opinion, when shopping for a cabinet door finish, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. I have seen countless times that a customer would try to save a few dollars by switching to an inferior stain or paint provided by another supplier. By doing so, their cabinet doors would need to be replaced after about 2-4 years time (depending on the amount of water that they were exposed to).

In addition to added longevity, our cabinet doors are always sprayed in an enclosed industrial spray booth environment. After they are sprayed we allow the doors to sit in a heated dryer booth to allow the finish to cure and dry completely before packaging and shipping. All cabinet doors are sanded, primed, sprayed, and sealed using state of the art finishing products and procedures. This process ensures a quality door finish on every cabinet door we produce.
